A day of food

August 6, 2009

9 am: Sandwich: peanut butter and kumquat jelly
11 am: Orange
11:30 am Cereal and soymilk
1 pm Sandwich: grilled cheese (Devondale light cheddar. So good.)
1:30 pm Sandwich: grilled cheese (Couldn’t eat just one)
3:30 pm Spanish hot chocolate
3:30 pm Churros with chocolate dipping sauce
7:30 pm Brown rice with rou4 song1 (dried shredded pork)

Went to Chocolateria San Churro in Fremantle (= Freo) today; best hot chocolate EVER ($5.50). Thick and creamy. The churros were sprinkled in powdered sugar and came with dark chocolate and milk chocolate dipping sauce ($6.75). San Churro, just off Market Street after you walk from the Freo Train Station.

Anyways, I’m glad I’m getting a nice diet of sugar, fats, and carbs today. Going grocery shopping tomorrow. On the to-cook list: glutinous rice (you2 fan4), green onion pancakes, cheesecake swirl brownies, Chris’s tortilla breakfasts.

Edith — I made the kumquat jelly, sort of. It was the leftover sauce leftover from the kumquat-topped cheesecake 🙂 Storing the sauce in the fridge made it more jelly like.
